You do not want to miss a spawn on a long camp like this or you will be waiting for nothing for a long time.

Also, you should get as many btags from other servers as possible to boost your chances of getting an invite to a realm with this mob spawned on it. I returned and camped with my first group for another few hours to help them out, but to no avail. The "I'm going to sit here till it spawns" method is not viable unless you can somehow stay up for like 48 hours straight. It's best to join forces with other realms on this guy to maximize your chances.

Also, what of restart VS maintenance? Poseidus's timer is reset by simple maintenance, but some dude I'm talking to right now is pretty vehement about me being a complete idiot and Poundfist obviously not being affected by maintenance, nevermind that this is our first week of real server stability anyway so how can anyone judge?

Acon So much people camping him now and unfortunately there are always a couple of them who just don't care with others and dps him down. Comment by ultimateman55 FYI as a smart and lazy way to farm for this guy, do what I did. His spawn timer is hours as others have said. So there's no use camping him on say Tuesday after a reset.

However the community is very actively keeping logs of his kills on forums and social media. You can use this to significantly cut down on how much camping you personally need to do. Then go to the Premade Groups finder and queue for a Poundfist camp. What you really want is a group that has reasonable evidence that he has not yet spawned i. Join that group preferably on a Saturday and camp for as long as you'd like, say hours.

If you're lucky like me and your group is correct that he has not spawned, by the time you start camping you're already in the hour time window since the last reset and you'll only have a matter of a few hours until a spawn.

Worst case scenario, you only lose a few hours of your week as opposed to hours of your week and you can always casually try again next week. The method described above gives a rather good chance for success for relatively small time investment. Of course the downfall is that if everyone did this, the method would fail to work. However I'm quite sure that others will continue to camp regardless. Personally I got pretty lucky using this method, invested about 1.
